Pastor Donald Sims surrendered to the call to preach on April 19, 1983, at Vardaman Street Baptist Church in Wiggins, Mississippi. He further prepared for ministry through his studies at Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, Mississippi.

 

On November 6, 1983, he accepted his first pastorate at Hickory Grove Baptist Church in Lumberton, Mississippi. Shortly thereafter, he was ordained to the Gospel ministry on December 11, 1983, at Vardaman Street Baptist Church.

 

Over the years, Pastor Sims has faithfully served in pastoral ministry at several churches throughout Mississippi, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to preaching the Word of God, shepherding congregations, and advancing the work of Christ.

 

Pastor Sims and his wife, Chalette, are blessed with three children and seven grandchildren. Together, they remain devoted to serving the Lord and ministering to others through the local church.
